So I finally went and bought a camera. A real hum-dinger, too (Canon EOS Rebel T1i)... one I'd write home about if I didn't still live at home. Big purchases like that always make me a tad bit nervous, but I felt like this is a wise investment. Hopefully now I can get some decent looking pictures up in hurrr. Yeah, I just said that. So I've been kind of just messing around with it for the past couple days, trying to get the feel of it... even though I'm still very much overwhelmed with everything I still have to learn about it. I snapped some pictures of my very tired dogs, my tomatoes growing in the backyard and some things around my room... kind of a tour of my home sweet home. I really can't wait to start using it full time!

ReplyDeleteI love your wall of pics, your home looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteGreat images for a new camera, I still don't have a clue how to use mine and i've had it a year!
Beautiful! I can't wait to see more of what you take with the camera!!!

You and Jessica over at What I Wore and your new Cannon Rebels. Y'all I'm trying to DOWNGRADE over here. Mine is too bulky to haul around town with me all day!
ReplyDeleteNonetheless, your photos are already awesome. Your dogs are too, too cute. And how are your tomatoes doing? Mine? Not so great! They all split and then got gobbled by birds!
Do I have to come here for fashion AND gardening inspiration??? :0)
Is that a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel? My dog is part beagle/part KCCS! Beautiful puppies :)
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your comments! :) Here's some answers to your questions:
ReplyDeleteI got my Toms banner by signing up with their affiliate program on Commissionjunction.com. I love their shoes, too... I just bought a new pair!
As for my tomatoes-- my poor plant has only produced two tomatoes since we got it (like a month ago). They're suppose to be beefsteak tomatoes but they only got as big as seen in the picture. Only one (pictured) split, but my dad said it was from the sun and it was normal. Luckily no birds got to them... I have a bird feeder on the opposite side of the backyard to keep them as far away from the plant as possible! Hopefully it will start growing more soon, I love the idea of going out in my backyard and picking fresh fruits and vegetables!
Yes! Charlie and Toby are both Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. They are the best dogs ever-- so happy and full of energy! I honestly think Doug from UP was based off of Charlie. I would love to see a part beagle part KCCS! That sounds like a recipe for complete adorable-ness!
I thought they were KCCS! Here's a pic of my doggy that I posted a while back:

You can see that he looks mostly like a beagle, but that his freckles and shorter snout resemble the KCCS. His personality sounds much like your dogs--full of energy and oh so happy.
Very nice book collection: Gatsby, Time Travellers Wife, Atonement, That was Then This is Now, Love in the Time of Cholera, Gone with the Wind and a few other classics...Impressive.
ReplyDeleteaw I love your bookshelf and gallery wall!!
