ho-hum outfit and puppies

feb 1

Today wasn't anything special. I probably wouldn't have even gotten ready if I didn't have an appointment to go to. So I kept it simple. I've pretty much been wearing these jeans and jacket combo non-stop. Bor-ing. I still decided to snap a picture before leaving the house though.

Shirt/jacket: kohls
jeans/shoes: target
scarf: handmade

and if you'd like to see the true definition of a "dog pile"

dog pile

From top: Toby, Dallas, Dolly and Charlie. Patiently waiting for someone, anyone, to come through the door so they can give them a welcoming lick and get the attention they are so deprived of (eye roll inserted here).

Friday The 13th

Dun Dun Dun...

Okay, so nothing bad happened today. Actually, it was a pretty good day.

friday the 13th

I remembered I had this sweater in my closet. Score! Wearing it all the time now.

Sweater: Ebay
Shirt and Jeans: Target
Shoes: Ebay

wooden ring

Wore my new wooden ring from The Hunger Site. It's made out of only branches that have fallen off of ebony trees. Better late than never, right?

Lick

I got kisses from Dallas. (Dallas is not the dog in the first picture, that's Charlie. Charlie's my baby, Dallas just wants to lick you.)

carmelized pear upside down cake

I also made a Carmelized Pear Upside-Down Cake.

Oh and did I mention that I went to Ihop and got Pecan pancakes? Oh yes I did. They were delicious, I will have to go back and try the Pumpkin ones next time.

I hope all of you had a NOT un-lucky Friday the 13th and have a wonderful weekend!

So I finally went and bought a camera. A real hum-dinger, too (Canon EOS Rebel T1i)... one I'd write home about if I didn't still live at home. Big purchases like that always make me a tad bit nervous, but I felt like this is a wise investment. Hopefully now I can get some decent looking pictures up in hurrr. Yeah, I just said that. So I've been kind of just messing around with it for the past couple days, trying to get the feel of it... even though I'm still very much overwhelmed with everything I still have to learn about it. I snapped some pictures of my very tired dogs, my tomatoes growing in the backyard and some things around my room... kind of a tour of my home sweet home. I really can't wait to start using it full time!
