I've noticed myself being more and more inspired by what guys are wearing lately. This would definitely one of my 'menswear-inspired' looks.

My best friend Jennifer showed up and we had some fun in front of the camera:
I love this outfit! Those shoes are so fun, and the print on the shirt is great, too.
ReplyDeleteyou look fabulous! those shoes just top the outfit off, and I love how you've rolled the checkered shirt along with the blazer. also, you and your BFF are freaking adorable! I love it.
ReplyDeleteway too much fun with the timer and tripod..hahaha!!!
ReplyDeleteCute outfit! I love menswear inspired styles. And fun with friends in front of the camera is a MUST! :)
ReplyDeleteI love your BFF's facial expression in the first photo- hilarious! You both look great!
ReplyDeleteI'm a months-long reader but first time commenter, and I adore your blog! I just wanted to ask because I thought it couldn't hurt to try: I've noticed that you've been getting adorable Oxford shoes from Ebay lately and I was wondering if you wouldn't mind sharing the words you use to search for them, or the sellers that you usually buy from? I've tried searching but it hasn't yielded the same quality shoes that you're finding. I adore the pair in this post and your last and would love to find some myself. Thanks! :]

Awwww...cute pics!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love these outfits!! I really like how you took those menswear inspired pieces yet still made them look feminine through fit.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I've been wondering about something and thought you could possibly help me. I've noticed your cute shoes are from ebay and I just bought some vintage black leather boots from there. This is the first time I've ever bought any kind of vintage shoe and so I was wondering if you had any tips on how to clean them?
Me too!!! I'm loving this androgynous look. I'll have to try and copy it... :D
ReplyDeleteThank you for the birthday wishes!

you look adorable here! way to rock menswear!
ReplyDeleteDawn: I search things like "vintage oxfords" or "vintage spectators"... which is a pretty straightforward search. Or sometimes when I'm "watching" an item, I'll do the "search for similar items" option. It took me awhile to find ones that I liked that were in my size... so it's kind of hit or miss. Sometimes you have good luck, and sometimes you don't. Just search frequently and the perfect shoe will find you.
ReplyDeleteChristine: I don't really have any tips on cleaning vintage shoes... I'm not really familiar with the do's and don'ts of cleaning shoes and I pretty much just clean mine with a wet papertowel, if at all. Maybe try a shoe buffer?
