DIY Anthropologie Christmas Tree Jars

Anthropologie:

Mine:
christmas tree jars

I went to Anthropologie a few days ago and saw these really cute Christmas trees in jars. I really wanted some, but they were going anywhere from $18 to $38! I thought they looked like they would be really easy to make so I decided to give it a shot.

Christmas shakers

I went to Michael's and picked up a jar of white glitter, a mason jar and a pack of decorative Christmas trees and ended up finding some salt shakers at the Goodwill for 99 cents! I forgot to pick up some silver glitter but had some loose silver eyeshadow I used instead. I put hot glue all around the outside of the trees and rolled them around in the silver glitter. Then, I hot glued the bottom of the trees and with some tweezers, glued them to the bottoms of the jars. I poured some white glitter into the jars as well and voila! I had some homemade Anthropologie Christmas tree jars.

It's Beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Wrapping presents with some amazing It's a Wonderful Life wrapping paper, while watching Holiday Inn next to the fire. Can it be a more perfect time of year?

took a break from blogging to frolick around Disneyland

I apologize for my absence and lack of outfit posts lately. To be truthful, I feel like I haven't had time to do anything. Between finals and work and Christmas shopping and parties, blogging has been put on the back burner. But now that my shopping is done and my finals are over, I promise I will be better!
Tonight my bestie and I went to Disneyland to marvel in their Christmas decor, and it didn't disappoint (do they ever?) We ended up doing more shopping than riding rides. I had points from my Disney credit card that were going to expire at the end of this month that I needed to spend and spend them did I! I don't even want to admit that the majority of it went to baked goods at the bakery on Main Street. Ugh, apple pie caramel apples, English toffee, fudge (chocolate, pumpkin, and tiger butter) how could I possibly resist?! It's so magical at Disneyland this time of year... the lights, the decorations, just everything! I'm definitely ready for Christmas!

My Christmas List

christmaslist2010

While I can go on just about any website and easily make a wish list, I had to narrow it down to a more practical list per my mom's request. So here are some things I definitely wouldn't mind Santa putting under the tree.

1. Make up case, because my bathroom is in some desperate need of organization.

2. Kate Spade Twirl, it smells heavenly, and comes in a convenient rollerball.

3. Edith Head: A Complete Treasury of the Fifty-Year Career of Hollywood's Greatest Costume Designer, because I find her infinitely interesting.

4. Polka Dots Tights, because mine completely bit the dust at last night's Christmas party.

5. Knit Headwrap how cozy does that look?!

6. Messaging Twist Clutch-- classic and chic, and probably won't give me back problems (which I can't say about my current Mary Poppins bag)

7.The Shop Around the Corner, because I have no idea why this isn't already in my DVD collection.

8. Bowties, Bowties, Bowties! I can't get enough.

9. Stylit fashion planner, because if my planner had outfit ideas in it, I'd probably actually use it.

10. Tortoise shell watch
