"Many nights he lay there dreaming awake of secret cafés in Mont Marte, where ivory women delved in romantic mysteries with diplomats and soldiers of fortune, while orchestras played Hungarian waltzes and the air was thick and exotic with intrigue and moonlight and adventure."
I just finished This Side of Paradise by F. Scott Fitzgerald the other day. I am constantly blown away by his lyricism and imagery. It makes you stop when you see something that strikes you and think, 'how would Fitzgerald describe this?' and it makes the world a little more beautiful.
