I hear the train a comin'

Last night I had a dream about riding on a train and I woke up remembering seeing this Ports 1961 ad campaign a couple days ago. I felt like it was a sign that I needed to post it. I'd like to believe that even though trains aren't a typical means of transportation like they once were, that wonderful things still happen on them, and on the platforms of the stations ala Brief Encounter. Of course my dream, nor real life for that matter, are as wonderful as Brief Encounter or these pictures, but it's nice to think that it was.

Miu Miu Inspired Nails

I decided to do a little nail art inspired by my Miu Miu knockoff shoes. I didn't have any nail polish that showed up really well against the nude base color, but I kind of like this subtle iridescent pink that the tip design turned out to be.
The base color was just something I picked out when I got my nails filled, and the tip color is OPI Italian Love Affair.

On another note, sorry for not updating that much this week, I've been super busy! Even though most of my time has been spent at work, really great things happened this week, too... like my sister had a baby!

My little nephew Owen was born on Saturday (two weeks early!) I saw him for the first time yesterday and he is the most precious thing ever! And on top of that I've been sewing like a crazy woman. I can't get enough, there are so many things I want to make! and I got my big fat ebates check in the mail, which is pretty much like getting paid to shop (perfection defined, no?) and of course, doing my nails. But don't worry, my pretties, I'll get back to regular posts soon!
