Orient Automatic Watch Giveaway!

Is one of your New Year's resolutions to not be late? Then this giveaway is just in time (see what I did there?)! Every year I always tell myself I'm going to be more organized and more punctual, maybe I should start wearing a watch. I've been wanting to get my hands (or wrist?) on a cute chunky guy watch like the CET05001W and CEM65006D models. So lucky you to whoever gets this little gem (valued at $135) you get to start the year off right!

And let's make the entries interesting, shall we? To enter, comment below with a joke (and your email) by FRIDAY, JANUARY 14TH. I'd say the one that makes me laugh the most wins, but let's get real, it doesn't take much to crack me up. I'll pick a winner at random.
Good Luck!

Clearly, I Brangelina-ed my outfit for the post title. Then I started thinking, wouldn't that be funny if that was actually a pattern? Plaid snowflakes? and then I thought, wouldn't it be even funnier if there was a breakfast called Panflakes, which would obviously be pancakes made out of cornflakes. I feel like there should be some patenting going on here. But that's neither here nor there. I wore this outfit a couple days ago when I was still out of my mind with the Christmas-is-in-a-couple-days attitude (as opposed to the post-Christmas depression I have fallen into realizing I blinked and apparently missed it.) I made the mistake of actually going out in this outfit (note: sarcasm) since people kept asking me why I was so dressed up. I didn't feel like I was that dressed up--I was wearing flats for crying out loud! But apparently when you put on a plaid skirt, you obviously have exciting plans to attend to. Unfortunately, my exciting plans were just to go shopping, where I kept getting asked what exciting plans I had. It seems like it defeated the purpose, really.

Winter Knits

Vogue Knitting Winter 2010/11

I've been getting the knitting itch lately. Well, knitting AND crocheting, pretty much I've been yearning to create things. I've been getting so inspired by Vogue Knitting and their amazing looks and patterns. I'm a much better crocheter than I am a knitter, I'm actually a terrible knitter and I think that's all the more reason why I'm so attracted to it--because I want to do it so badly! I'm trying to slowly get down the basics, so I'm currently knitting just a garter stitch scarf. A big chunky red one... just to practice the repetition and get the hang of it. Hopefully one day I will be able to master these patterns posted. 2011 resolution, methinks?

Christmas Party

our best model pose.

he was teething on my finger and wouldn't let go.

a couple weeks ago my sister had her annual Christmas party. It was filled with tasty treats and lots of laughs... the best kind of party. This is probably one of my favorite outfits of the year. I'm starting to become obsessed with bowties! I'm bummed I didn't get a regular outfit photo of it, but oh well... I'm sure I'll be wearing it again in the near future. Also, can you spot the horrible run in my tights? yikes. Good thing Santa's bringing me another pair for Christmas (I helped him pick it out) ;)

took a break from blogging to frolick around Disneyland

I apologize for my absence and lack of outfit posts lately. To be truthful, I feel like I haven't had time to do anything. Between finals and work and Christmas shopping and parties, blogging has been put on the back burner. But now that my shopping is done and my finals are over, I promise I will be better!
Tonight my bestie and I went to Disneyland to marvel in their Christmas decor, and it didn't disappoint (do they ever?) We ended up doing more shopping than riding rides. I had points from my Disney credit card that were going to expire at the end of this month that I needed to spend and spend them did I! I don't even want to admit that the majority of it went to baked goods at the bakery on Main Street. Ugh, apple pie caramel apples, English toffee, fudge (chocolate, pumpkin, and tiger butter) how could I possibly resist?! It's so magical at Disneyland this time of year... the lights, the decorations, just everything! I'm definitely ready for Christmas!
