This is the outfit I wore to my last day of school, which was a few days ago... I'm just now getting around to posting it. The sad thing is... when I think of the last day of school before summer break, I think of blue skies and a shining sun... birds chirping and a spring in my step. Unfortunately, this is what I got: dark storm clouds and high winds! That's not really the way I wanted to start summer, but maybe I should have held my tongue; today it was in the 90's and so ridiculously hot. I felt gross all day. So, summer... I think you've officially arrived.

I love that I got the same exact subject with each camera I own (if you've ever wondered about what kind of cameras I use). It shows each camera's unique style of photography and the different results each one gives. How lovely!

When it comes to vibrant images of celestial bodies that make up the various celestial bodies of our universe, nobody's got your back like the Hubble space telescope.

To be honest, space kind of scares me. Correction, it totally freaks me out. But I absolutely have a soft spot in my heart for vintage cartoon moons, old moon pictures, and planetariums (I'm on the search for a good home planetarium if anyone has any suggestions!) And now I'm adding cosmic clothing to that list. You really can't deny the amazing fantasy-like shapes and colors celestial bodies come in, it's weird that something so big and dark and infinite can make things so beautiful.

And if my title and first part of this blog has left you completely clueless, here ya go:

(this picture just made me laugh because it has been ridiculously windy here and my hair was just whipping around-- it looked like this is the majority of the shots)

My sister told me that these sandals reminded her of something our high school marching band leader would have worn. Let me explain: our high school mascot was a Titan, and the band leader wore this gladiator-esque outfit complete with lace-up sandals, and our colors were blue and silver. Granted, these don't lace-up and they are blue and gold but I can kind of see what she was saying. But nevertheless, I'm totally feeling them. They're super comfy and I love that they have a back strap on them (that actually stays in place!) so I don't feel like they're going to slip off my feet if I walk more than 10 feet. I think they're a chic alternative to an ordinary flip flop, which I pretty much live in during the summer. So I got these babies just in time! Thanks, BC Footwear!

I left my heart ♥ in the mountains

I just got my Holga pictures developed from my trip to Big Bear back in January. It was my first and only time ever being in the snow, but I have to admit-- I kind of miss it. Being snowed-in in a warm, cozy cabin and watching the snow fall outside and waking up to gorgeous views of bright blue skies against a winter wonderland. Another trip is a must! But for now I need to think spring! think spring! think spring!....
